Business Development Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Taguig, Philippines for BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER.
As the Business Development Officer you will focus on generating new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and implementing marketing strategies to boost brand visibility and expand market share. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in business development, particularly within the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) sector.

Tasks & responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and generate new business opportunities within key industries.
- Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and expand the company’s market presence.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients to drive repeat business.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, technical) to ensure client satisfaction and quality service delivery.
- Conduct prospecting activities, including calls, emails, and attending industry events, to establish a strong sales pipeline.
Brand Building and Networking
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, seminars, and trade shows to promote the brand.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns that enhance brand visibility in the TIC market.
- Leverage networking opportunities to build new business relationships and strategic partnerships.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM database to track leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide professional support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate and close deals with prospective clients, ensuring all terms and conditions are met.
Sectors & Business Focus
- Certifications in key sectors, including agriculture, food, tourism, textiles, forestry, fisheries, sustainability, and more.
- Inspections of commodities and products such as grains, oils, minerals, food, and fruit.
- Testing of various commodities and products like grains, oils, food, and water.
Other Responsibilities
- Conduct business with the highest standards of ethical conduct.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in the Business Development role.
Requirements
- Graduate of any four (4) year course
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Business Development position preferably in the Testing, Inspections & Certifications (TIC) industry
- Experience with writing commercial content/texts
- Strong presentation and proposal-writing abilities
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Background or interest in agriculture and food would be advantageous
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Experience of designing would be advantageous
