An exciting opportunity has arisen at Klang, Malaysia for ASSISTANT MANAGER – COMMERCIAL TRAINING DIVISION.

As an Assistant Manager – Commercial Training Division, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of training programs that support the commercial objectives of the organization.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management:
    – Lead and manage the Commercial Training Division team, including trainers and support staff.
    – Develop and implement strategic plans for the training division to align with organizational goals.
    – Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews for team members.
  • Training Program Development:
    – Design and develop comprehensive training programs for commercial teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service.
    – Ensure training programs are up-to-date, relevant, and effective in meeting the needs of the business.
    – Collaborate with subject matter experts to create specialized training modules.
  • Training Delivery:
    – Oversee the delivery of training programs, ensuring consistency and quality across all sessions.
    – Utilize a variety of training methods, including in-person, virtual, and blended learning approaches.
    – Ensure trainers are well-prepared and equipped with the necessary resources and materials.
  • Evaluation and Improvement:
    – Develop and implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
    – Collect and analyze feedback from participants to identify areas for improvement.
    – Continuously update and enhance training programs based on feedback and industry best practices.
  • Budget Management:
    – Prepare and manage the budget for the Commercial Training Division.
    – Monitor expenses and ensure training programs are delivered within budgetary constraints.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    – Collaborate with senior management and other departments to identify training needs and align training initiatives with business objectives.
    – Build and maintain relationships with external training providers and industry experts.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    – Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, feedback, and outcomes.
    – Prepare regular reports on training program performance and present findings to senior management.
  • HRDF/ HRDC Application & Management:
    – Manage the entire HRDF process including registration, submission of claims, and reconciliation of payments related to training and develpment.
    – Ensure compliance with HRDF guidelines on hiring external trainer.
    – Prepare and maintain accurate records of HRDF invoices, training schedules, training materials and reports for auditing purpose.

Requirements

  • Graduate in Business Management, Education, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs for commercial teams
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency in using training software and tools
  • Certification in training and development (e.g., CPTD, ATD) is a plus
