Response to PETA New Zealand article January 2025

STATEMENT

We are aware of a recent article published by PETA raising concerns about animal welfare on certain farms in New Zealand that are a supplier to the ZQ Programme. In the article PETA shared some clearly distressing and upsetting footage.

We are fully committed to adhering to the best and most robust quality systems and animal welfare practices globally.

The New Zealand Merino Company (NZM) has committed to investigating all allegations, which we will support in our role as a third-party auditing body.
