Control Union Certifications accredited for FSC’s regulatory module

Control Union Certifications has been accredited as a Certification Body for the new Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) Regulatory Module. This accreditation is a testament to our reliable services in meeting the EUDR requirements.

The FSC’s Regulatory Module assists FSC certificate holders in aligning their practices with Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 (EUDR) requirements. It serves as an add-on to the existing FSC certification, focusing on wood and wood-based products.

Control Union’s global network of offices and experts will allow all companies to apply for and use FSC’s new module in any part of the supply chain, from forest manager to processors and traders.

On November 14th, the EU Parliament agreed to extend the compliance deadline for the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) by one year. This means that large operators and traders must comply by December 30, 2025, while micro- and small enterprises have until June 30, 2026.[2]
