Identify risks

The length and complexity of supply chains makes it impossible and unaffordable for importers and companies to ensure every business in a supply chain is verified. A due diligence system helps importers and companies to identify risks of, for example, forced labour (UK Modern Slavery act) and illegal logging (EU timber regulation).

Control Union Certifications is also recognised as a monitoring organisation by the European Commission to support EU importers of wood and to comply with EU timber regulations.
